Project Zero or Fatal Frame (there the same game just different regional names) but I guess you can call those survival horror

Platform = PS2 for the first 3 games, 4th is a Wii game that was only released in Japan but has a fan translation, there is also a re-release of one of those on the Wii also.

Can't honestly think of any good ones that are not Survival Horror though, but that may be because I'm a fan of those

Default Good Original Xbox Stories to play?

Hello! I am looking for games with thrilling stories. one that will keep me binded and leave thoughts pacing through my mind about whats going to happen next. I love to get stoned and play retro games on my jtag so if you have a game with a good campaign of either xbox console post it here.

Can anyone reccommend some good games that aren't NTSC-U Region? I'm talking about good games in other regions like NTSC-J or PAL. It dosen't matter what system, but anything from NES to PS3 will be fine, including handhelds.

    Silent Hills 2, 4 5 and 6
Still Life (Net Spectre you might like that one more adventure Horror than survival)
Project Zero's aka Fatal Frame's 1 and 2 (2 is the better one to play)
Phantasy Star Online (Hacked so you can play it without a live account offline)
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
GTA San Andreas can still hold it's own towards the new ones 4 and 5 as well though
Illbleed <- oops thats a Dreamcast game
    The Thing

    Have fun with those

No idea if they all work with a jtag or not though

Just look for translated games there are tons of greats there for most 8bit and 16bit systems

I did like the Farland Story games for the Nec PC98 that have translations done & Shining Force III for the saturn that has Episodes 2 and 3 translated (1 was released in U and US anyway though)

Can anyone recommend me some chill, yet challenging and fun puzzle or mystery/crime solving games? System: anything 64 bit or lower including handhelds, as my computer is slow.
    thx

    Can you run Desmume?

if so play the phoenix wright series, great fun.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

If it's that old it should be running XP...win7 32bit is pretty sad on an old PC.
Yeah I realise support for XP will stop soon, but if you run anti-virus, firewall and anti-malware when you're online it's still safe enough.
And if you're playing games, disconnect your net and shutdown all the progs you don't need running.

    Spoiler warning:

    thx

    IllBleed Dreamcast (Real console recommended)
Still Life Xbox (Real Console only)
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth Xbox (Real Console only)
The Thing Dreamcast/Xbox (Real console recommended/Real console only) that might of had a PS2 release aswell

A lot of the SCUMMVM games, a lot of crime solving games here (I like the Elvira games myself) you should be good to go with these

SCUMMVM also has games like 7th Guest & Beneath a Steel Sky

PSX you should be ok with if you use some of the older emulators (Not sure how good ePSXe will run on an older setup)

N64 (not even 64bit ) you will struggle with mostly, some games via certain emulators should run just fine though

Saturn I don't think so, but SSF is worth a try (You may end up using an older version though, but if it works well it is worth using)

GBA SNES and under you are fine
GG Megadrive/Genesis and under you are fine
Sega/Mega CD you should be ok with as well
Sega 32X You might start to struggle with
    Sega/Mega CD-32X, I don't think so but worth trying

I recall we have an old list recommending worthwhile PS1 games. Just skim down to the RPG subsection:
    http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...aturn-Games%29
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Not exactly an RPG but a must to play

Castlevania Symphony of the Night, it's a Platformer RPG you gain EXP, level up collects enemy drops, as well buy sell and find items, skills and maps

The GBA ones are good as well

For other RPG's as above, there are plenty to pick from, not that I would class some of the ones there are RPG.

    Ones of Note though

Grandia and the 2 Suikoden Games

Parasite Eve though more like cross game a bit like Castlevania, it's more of a Survival Horror game, 3D Action Adventure with RPG stats glued onto it, Vagrent Story is the same but Parasite Eve is much more fun to play

Alas i have Already beat Grandia a few times and have beat all 5 of the Suikodens and i will always love Parasite eve 1 and 2 as well as Vagrent story. altho i have never been a fan of Castlevaina games ( i know gasp worthy) Im looking for more of a Turn based combat RPG.

Games like Suikoden, Grandia, Wildarms,FF, Breath of Fire....well 1-3 at least.
