Went into my local game store today. The staff and customers were in fits of laughter over the XBone. Internet is one thing, but when even the people who are supposed to be selling your product are ripping the piss out of it, you've really fucked up.

Here's another good reason to hate them; pure arrogance. God damn these guys are smug, and have some serious balls to be saying shit like this in the wake of their abysmal conference.

Every day since May 21st, either one or more news tidbits of pure awfulness has come out regarding the xbone. I wonder how long this can continue?

E3 will be interesting this year. Sony will finally show all their cards and I'm hoping for plenty of lulz from Microsoft's conference.

The original Xbox and Xbox 360 were region locked as well... Why does region locking seem to come as such a surprise to everyone?

Not exactly. There are region free Xbox and 360 games. It's all in the hands of the publishers. Why there are so many region locked games I don't know, Microsoft probably encourages it.

PS3 also supports region locking if a publisher feel the need to although that is mostly unheard of. Persona 4: Arena is a recent case and that turned into a huge shitstorm for Atlus.

That's just another way to advertise the item by artificially creating/inflating the expectations to get it. Marketing techniques, after all.

Lol, if you skimmed the comments you would see some people point out that this is apparently the first gen that Blockbuster is taking console preorders. Clever marketing on Blockbusters part, tapping into the rage such a silly announcement would bring.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Thats is if they make the miserable thing at all. You would think that research would be looking at audiences' opinions before sinking a billion $$.

So the casuals were completely blown away by how awesome the Xbox One is and everything it does. Looks like a raging success.

Maybe you should look where you're running.

Do casuals spring on an investment like a day one release?

Well I mean, used video game stores, and for every long time respectable gamer there are 5 casuals now. It's crowded in there.

And uh, one crazy guy was saying he would have one as soon as it was released. Overall I'm not sure but it seems like it went well. Someone else said "and it might even play games" to which another guy said, "I don't even care if it plays games".
