I could steal parts from my sister's DS, but it's not working either.
That one powers on and charges, but neither of the screens turn on.
I'm aware of that, thus the wacko. And I've seen them.
I suppose I'll just give my sister (not the one with the broken system) my Acekard for the time being. Perhaps in the spring I'll get myself a pretty wine red DSiXL. There's always DS emulators, but I'm not a fan.
Sorry if it sounded like I spoiled your idea.....bit tired atm lol.
But seriously, if you have 2 broken consoles you really have nothing to lose by trying to cobble together a good one.
Just be careful to minimise the possibility of static damage when you mess around with the boards.
I know it's hard to do if you don't have the proper grounding gear![]()
Spoiler warning:
We'll see. For now, I've just given my little brother my absolutely amazing FFVI plastic shell to put on his DS. Golbez is so epic and he doesn't even know who he is.![]()
When my sister wakes up I'll give/let her borrow my Acekard 2i with my lovely class 6 8GB Transcend.
In the meantime, I suppose I'll let my various scans on this poor computer finish up. Hope you guys are having a lovely first day of the year. I actually couldn't stay up last night, so Mom and I are drinking champagne tonight instead.![]()
I probably won't even bother. And mine was beginning to need a new top screen even before it started refusing to power on. I forgot about that, so this actually isn't the first problem it's had in the recent past.
I got it used last February though. And of course there's no way of knowing how long the previous owner had it, for all I know it's had a good, long life.
Hey, are you wanting to link up via Skype now, or...?
