    Rukuja always took the credit for the first.

    It's been 4000 since 2005.

    My DS isn't working and this computer is far too slow for me to tolerate an attempt at the usual line of Google searches. ;___;

    I'm not particularly sure what you're questioning.

    However, it seems the most likely cause of my problems is a fuse or two.

    What's the problem? Like it doesn't turn on at all?

    I kind of want to play Golden Sun again for the GBA, but damn, that game by itself is so long. SO much text.

    In fact, I don't think I ever got close to beating Lost Age. And I think I got stuck on the final boss in the original.

    sigh

    The DS doesn't turn on at all. If you plug the charger in, the orange indicator flashes for a moment and then turns off. The ribbon cables for both screens are securely attached, I've tried different batteries, and different chargers. It hasn't been dropped or anything, as far as I can tell it just decided it was tired of functioning.

    Yep.

    You can test the fuses using a multimeter to see which is dead......and then replace or you can bridge the dead fuse (not recommended).
    Replacing the fuses requires decent soldering skills.

    Have you repaired it yourself at some stage?
    It's quite common fuses to go in self-repaired consoles......don't ask me why.
    Possibly static damage of some sort weakens the fuse itself? I really dunno.

    It might of short circuited, that happened to a couple of older DS's I had, I think they were all Lite's.

    But I can barely help with anything like that, so I should stop talking.

    I don't own a multimeter, and I've never soldered anything in my life.

    I suppose I now have a valid excuse to buy myself a new XL in the spring, but I was super looking forward to getting my lite back from my brother when I came up to visit.
