I wasn't offended or anything, but it's impossible to ask that sort of question without feeling a little stupid. And since my boyfriend is constantly ranting about Americans and how they're always asking him stupid things about England and such, I'm even a little more hesitant than I would usually be.

However, it's become sort of an unintentional custom between Elin and I, whenever our paths cross, to share some sort of cultural quirk that the one or the other of us has never heard of. The resulting conversations are always fun, and so I decided to address my curiosity with a question, in this particular scenario.

I certainly don't think you live on a different planet, and I'm sure there are countless more similarities than differences, but you never know what cute little thing you might learn about some place else.

There is no problem then.

I ask other people online what it's like where they live, and the little things can most certainly be interesting.
I mostly obsess over europe though, with a sprinkling of countries with a predominantly Islamic population.

Wallabies are the cute ones imo.They're the smaller cousins.
Some LARGE kangaroos like Reds can seriously hurt a large man if they really want to.

But wildlife like that is the least of your worries here.
Plenty of snakes that are deadly, but the spiders are more sinister.
They can get you in your sleep

There was a small group of them living near me for years, but they either left or died when we had a huge drought

I know what wallabies are. And I also prefer them. Actually, I was looking at swamp wallaby pictures after I posted that, I recall seeing a place where you could get them as pets once.

Platypus. I don't recall if I've ever seen a real one, just pictures. I wish I had venomous spurs.
