I miss how everything wasn't handed to you like it is in today's games. Yeah, most of the games were linear, but you still had to earn the right to make it on to the next level, and sometimes that could take days of hardcore dedication to get through. It took me a long time to beat Ghosts 'n' Goblins, but I was a helluva lot more proud of myself for dedicating three weeks to Ghosts 'n' Goblins than I was to beating Ratchet & Clank.
Also, fuck checkpoints.I don't need to have a game auto save every 20 feet.
