They's not entirely wrong, though. Quality control has drastically increased since the past, and games have gotten far more complex. Certainly, I don't need to play "guess the verb" now that text parsers don't really exist anymore, or uninstallers that wipe the entire hard drive, or (usually) bad level design allowing the player to get trapped in walls, fall through floors, forgetting retrieved items on save/reload, and so forth. Nowadays, when a game developer tries to push a game with so many bugs to release regardless, they will get eviscerated for it, and the Internet only helps in that.
