    *poorly written metaphor time*

Giving someone a gun doesn't necessarily create a "malevolent" situation, but giving a gun to someone who you know will use it to cause harm would make you "malevolent".

And if god is omnipotent, then he would therefore know who will and who won't use free will for evil and chooses to give free will to someone despite knowing how they'll use it. It's like giving a criminal a gun knowing full well that they're going to use it to knock over a nearby bank, likely killing a couple people in the process.

Hey, concentration camps take EFFORT. You don't give the nazis enough credit, shame on you Evans.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

And what is free will? If God is omnipotent and omnipresent, he knows all, including past and future. If our deeds are already known for a certainty, and this certainty is unalterable, then do we have free will? In the converse case, if this is known and alterable - that is to say, if the knowledge can be made false and, by implication, the "truth" seen by God made a lie, is he still all-knowing?

He knows all the possibilities available from every descision we are destined to make. It's up to us to choose the ones that aren't evil.

Which still defeats the idea of him being all-knowing. Else he wouldn't just know which choices were possible, but which ones would actually be.

Ah, but does he know the decision we will make? That is the question.
