Yep, that was the first thing I disabled when I went to Vista. (it's in the user account settings).

I hope this is true so that I don't have to upgrade from XP, my pc could probably run Vista, but with barely enough power to do anything else rather than look at the user-friendly interface. Not Friendly when you can't games to run.

People still use 98. You can't be forced to upgrade, xp will stick around for at least 2 more years, and by the time you have to upgrade, you'll probably be buying another comp.
