You have never heard DOC? He was great untill he got into a car crash, and fucked his vocal cords up =/ His a ghost writer for a few artists:
The D.O.C. remained important to Dr. Dre, who used his talents as one of the writers for his debut solo album The Chronic, contributing to the tracks "Lil' Ghetto Boy," "A ***** Witta Gun," and "Bitches Ain't Shit".Oh and he wrote for NWAHe has worked with Snoop Dogg on his latest album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment on four songs![]()
I'm downloading "No One Can Do It Better" right now, after hearing the single on YouTube.
Thanks for the heads up.
The blue carpet treatment sucked
I was actually impressed with the rejuvenation shown by snoop on his leading track. He was busting out multis, complex metaphors, even shit i couldn't understand.......(well maybe not that)...but he was impressive compared to his recent shit..so much that the idea of ghostwriters never occured to me until i read jase's post...
Have any of you guys ever heard Words from the Genius?
It's the GZA's first album, came out in 1990. Some of it is pretty bad, but there are some good tracks on it.

Alright-- I listened to Eric B. & Rakim's discography after procrastination, and I must say that they're fucking awesome.
Other noteworthy acts I've stumbled upon in the past few days:
Blackalicious
The Fugees
REZ THREAD RANK 4!!!!
I need to know a song, the lyrics are stuck in my head.
I was playing my Anger Managment Tour CD, namely Anger Managment - Eminem, then i remember this line:
"Fuck Anger Management, I need someone to manage my anger." - Royce 5'9'
Royce said it on the tour, and im almost 100% its on another song, but i can not for the love of me, find it.
I could of heard it on one of the Beef DVD's, but im sure i have it on my Playlist =/
Anyone got any ideas?
Shock of all shocks, Hypnos is looking for some rap to listen to. Previously, I'd pretty much written the genre off, but I've heard a few good tracks (mostly Dead Prez, iirc) and now I'm looking for some good albums.
Course, most of my music background is punk and metal, so harsh and political is what I'm mostly looking for. So, what would anyone recommend me?
