Speaking of Nile, Karl Sanders released a new song from his Saurian project on MySpace.

Nile is a great DM band, and seems to get better and better with each album.
Anyone who likes Nile also has a high possibility to like Behemoth ,too imho.

Anybody got to listen to new Annihilator Album 'Metal' yet?

It's too fucking modern. The production, the riffs... everything! Annihilator unfortunately were one of those bands that put out one amazing album and went to shit afterwards, and I loosely label them as a 'band'.

If anyone who lives in the USA doesn't go to Ozzfest this year, I fucking hate you, Ozzy, Nile and Behemoth...for free...also if you do go, I fucking hate you

If they still have mastodon opening for them, I'm willing to bet you'll be up to your arse in scene kiddies.

Pity really, since they haven't done anything to suffer that kind of fanbase.

    What the shit?!

Mastodon... Of all bands scene kids can choose to listen to?!?!

Man, Mastodon are one of my favourite bands. I'm really more excited to see them than Slayer. Mastodon are the epitome of unique music. Nobody can even come close to combining the shapes that they pull and the tasty lyrics into a song. Maybe scene kids think something along the lines of "Oh hey, other proper metalheads listen to this band, so it must be cool to listen to it... *hopeless rocking out ie standing around and moving their heads* "

    Argh. Why, scene kids, why?!

I think it's got something to do with the press they've been getting, both from the label and the 'independant' mags. It seems to happen to damn near any new metal band that gets any real press. Then there was that mall-metal phase Slayer went through with GHUA, so there'll be a few kiddies there because of that as well.

    Hmm. Seems likely.

Anyway, most scene chicks are pretty hot.

True, but It'd be better if it was easier to tell them apart from the scene males.

edit: to keep this on topic, anyone heard the new Morgana Lefay album?

Aaaamigad. Don't know if anyone cares, but I'm back. I was here back in 03/04, left, rejoined a while ago as King Crimson, then my account was deleted (no idea why XD) so I came back to this one.

Not sure if any of you know me, but meh. Hai to you all anyway!

Seriously, this thread is the only reason I'm here XD.

Damn, the new Morgana Lefay is awesome. Real thrashy power metal with actual power behind it.
