I got another A by writing a story about trying to buy a printer at Best Buy. I called it "The Idiot". This guy was leaning on me prety hard to buy a warranty with my printer, even refusing to get the thing off the shelf unless I bought the warranty. So, with a bit of embellishment, I created "The Idiot" who, trying to satisfy his need for a large comission, drove customers away by being excessively forceful with add on costs.
The description sounds dry, but I think the fact that this nameless salesman being referred to as The Idiot added a bit of suspense, since you never knew exactly what this guy was going to do next.
