I've seen Keep of Kalessin live, when they were supporting Satyricon with Insomnium

It's their most epic record to date and needless to say, anything Moonsorrow touch turns to gold.

Martyr are really underrated in my eyes. Daniel Mongrain is a god on the guitar but don't really like his vocals :\

I'm going to that. More excited about Mastodon, though...

    Where are you staying?

You should come hang with us. We're staying at Sullivans.

More people should listen to Gorod, they are one of the best technical death metal bands out right now.

I'll be staying with either my brother, or some mates if they get a hotel room. It's the day after I see the Chili Peppers...

Holy shit! Robert Lowe of Solitude Aeturnus joined Candlemass in place of Messiah. Oh shit I'm so excited for the outcome of that.

Hopefully this'll give Solitude Aeturnus enough exposure to let them become a full-time band, rather than having to work around everyones dayjobs. Lord knows they deserve it more than some big names I could mention.

Holy shit, saw Testament last night, their first Aussie tour ever, was pretty much the best gig I've been to so far. Was right on the barrier in front of Chuck and Eric the whole set, close enough that I could've grabbed Eric's guitar if I felt like being a twat. Got to sing a line of "Into the pit" when Chuck was putting the mic into the crowd, which was fucking awesome.
Skolnick had the biggest shit eating grin all night, was awesome to see him loving playing thrash again. They said they'd be coming back to tour the new album, guess they were pretty stoked with the turnout.

    Setlist:
    The Preacher
    The New Order
    The Haunting
    Electric Crown
    Trial By Fire
    D.N.R
    Three Days in Darkness
    True Believer
    Practice What You Preach
    The Legacy
    Into the Pit
    Over the Wall
    Alone in the Dark
    Disciples of the Watch
    Burnt Offerings

Ended up scoring one of Chucks picks (haha, didn't know he needed a pick for his air guitaring), one of Erics picks and a beer off Chuck...fucking awesome night.
