'Geophysical Event', eh? Most of the U.S. buried in volcanic ash and being one huge supervolcano for the most part when Yellowstone erupts long overdue? It can't be for underground bunkers in magma caved in by earthquakes though, unless they're in Florida which is out of the disaster zone but if you dig three feet underground in Florida you're underwater. Could definitely be taking all the money to give it to the very few with nuclear war bunkers, but the money is worth dust when civilization is disintegrated. Alien invasion? They would have destroyed us long ago effortlessly and with the greatest of ease. What's the worse they can do, treat humans the way humans treat humans? I guess if people are enslaved or killed in large numbers humans get first dibs, as a matter of fucking principle dammit. Hiding underground is only an anthill for aliens to extirpate if they are hostile. The one extinction level event that can be construed as something to consider impending is the third term Trump wants and there being no alternative third party in a two party system with polarized incompetent extremists on both sides. Not a natural or cosmic apocalypse, a societal cesspool too decayed and rotten to save from terminal demise.
