beam me up scotty I've spent the last 3 days(or most of the last 3 days) exploring one planet in the system I'm in and I still haven't located the last animal species to catalog it's supposed to be underground but I've had no luck finding one did find the other underground species and have run into it fairly often. there's still 2 or 3 other planets in this system to explore

I don't remember it was ha something it was a verdant planet in pirate controlled gek system. I got tired of trying to find that last animal species so I moved on to another planet to investigate a crashed freighter after that I started cataloging things then the game crashed so I came back here.

I mentioned this a long time ago when I received a letter from a government agency demanding that I follow written instructions inside a form entry box that wasn't just not in English it looked like a severe syntax error caused by a computer crash. Back when AI started being rolled out and used in offices. Apparently no human bothered to read what was mailed to me and AI is not being checked for errors much less fact-checked. AI is producing paperwork at a superhuman rate that no amount of humans can check, which I mentioned back then. It was being rolled out to replace jobs when it's not ready, the readier it gets the more delusional it is making it a snowballing clusterfuck of overwhelming nonsense that poses a threat of civilizational collapse if we become dependant on it and delegate to it. It's being considered as some kind of magical genie that knows all the answers when it's a digital parrot that gets more incoherent as it advances. The reason that it's getting increasingly nonsensical as it advances is that it has no senses to draw on, no real experiences in the real world and has to imagine things like what farts smell like and has to imagine most of everything else getting lost in fantasy detached from reality. It's nonsensical, it's senseless.

I can suggest one fix to make AI stop making things up up to 80% of time. Make it admit when it does not know something instead of giving answers and it not being pushed to produce answers as a product.

I remember you talking about that and you're right.
I admit that I still don't like AI. AI feels like just another internet fad that a bunch of nerds are creaming over like "social media". all I am seeing of it is abuse from those at the top rubbing their greedy hands together plotting capitalization of it and the lazy using to do their jobs for them.
I still read manga fairly often 99% which is translated I've read a handful that are either AI translated or whats been tagged as "rough translations"(which most of the time is AI) those translations are garbage.
AI can't grasp subtleties or context or even grammar I've seen it misuse the words to and for way to often as well as misspelling names and other things it is quite obvious that the people using it are not proofreading their work.
now on the other hand real translation groups put in effort and there is a clear distinction between AI and real translations, real translations know the language they're translating from and to they understand the context and aren't misusing common words or making one spelling error after another.
AI doesn't care about quality it can't it only knows what it's been fed much like a pig being fed slop just to make it bigger, AI too is being fed tons of slop to make it bigger.
I will say that AI could(or can) be a good thing if used properly(for things like assisting research) but it's not and likely never will be because sadly it's just another terrible fad that'll stick around like facebook or twitter aka X

ordered a new keyboard I was looking at a logitech one but couldn't find out if it was a mechanical or not it was just listed as a "gaming" keyboard.
I decided to go with the TBI pro X107 I was looking at because it's new has a volume control and was the cheapest option with blue keys.
I would have liked to go with logitech as I've had good experience with their keyboards but I can't afford good quality used or new ones.
