I disagree about #3, it depends on the situation. They're out to destroy whoever isn't on their side and mistake independents for someone in the opposing party despite not being involved in either party, nonetheless you're being caught in the crossfire and neither side cares who is destroyed along the way to destroying the opposing party. Dodge the incoming, take neither side, make them miss you as a target so they can destroy one another while you survive their polarized shitshow circus.

In the end, both sides are hell-bent on self-destruction and you can't reason with unreasonable people therefore help them get what they want.
