Oh, Elon knows about the trade deficit nuances. He just wants all the money to end up in government subsidies for his companies and everyone else to die without money as he cuts them off from government subsidies and Social Security funds he wants for himself as well as all the money in the rest of the world and for everyone on the planet to die without money except whoever he decides to populate the world with. So he can be worshipped in what's left of posterity having the power of life and death to determine who lives and who dies in accordance to their eternal subjugation to him as a religiocorporate cultural icon cowered before by all future generations with only his sycophants not killed automatically by an AI recreation of Elon. He can't do that unless EU buys his cars, it's a crucial moment for his deification process.
