This is what happens when my 2500 ELO plays an NES game.

Yes, there is what amounts to a cheat code in Battle Chess for NES, simply start it up and input these moves. Works every time and is the fastest way to checkmate a human opponent, you can create an entire opening system around it in chess.

My chess style is derived from Capablanca's games for the most sound and effective moves, depending on transposition and the placement of the pieces I mix it up with Tal's board exploding fireworks from his games.

Chessmaster's ELO is billed at 3003, it's more like 2400 and mine is around 2500 but obviously I have gotten better since I last competed. Anyway, I might be the one with a 3003 ELO. I wouldn't play those moves in a tournament, I have a Checkmate Gambit system I troll average players with. The system has three main opening lines, the Checkmate Gambit I posted about Battle Chess, the King's Pawn Gambit I posted an example of to defeat Chessmaster and the Rubinstein Queen's Pawn gambit. All three lead to checkmate if the opponent makes one wrong move. If they don't defeat themselves for you then you transpose into positional play and freestyle from there.

That's King's Pawn Gambit gets the King involved in the battle and makes him mobile but you have to play it like I do.

As to where I get my all out attack ideas in chess it's because Tal taught me that all defense and conservative play does is lead to drawish lines and even if you lost it feels worse to draw.



I can play defensive and positionally like Karpov and Capablanca or offensively and tactically like Tal but defense is not as funny as nuking a chessboard.

Chess ends up boring me because it's too easy, only reason I stopped competing in high school. I like to think of Chessmaster as the perfect glutton for repeated defeat. Most humans tend to find something less impossible to do and up just as bored of chess as me. Not sure what Chessmaster's real ELO is, it's not 3003 as advertised. Though it also has really stupid moves in its opening book it's programmed to play(1. ... e3?), might be the developer's fault.

If I had been involved in Chessmaster 11's development I'd had made Chessmaster unbeatable with my entire repertoire of chess knowledge, instead of recycling the same old CMX opening book that sucks.

I decided to share that opening book, it's the result of years playing around with Chessmaster's opening book editor, I take it the Ubisoft developers didn't have years to work on it and/or were too lazy to update the Chessmaster's opening book.

I'm attempting to develop an alien opening book for Chessmaster that is totally unpredictable because it plays by different rules that are risky but confusing to the opponent and takes people out of the books which makes them think for themselves instead of memorized lines.

so yesterday I got it in my head that I want to play a space cowboy in NV but I'm not too keen on the vanilla energy weapons so I started looking for some mods. after some looking I didn't really find what I was looking for.
today I got another idea I want to play as a space soldier or something like captain cosmic but the vanilla space suit kinda sucks for that so I'm going to try and find a mod for that and see if I can't find a mod I thought I seen before for the pulse rifle and pulse pistol.
