Adjusted for inflation with stagnant wages, taking high school dropouts and illegal immigrants as recruits, low morale and mass resignation. Lawmakers justifying their pay with more laws, including stupid laws when they should be streamlining laws to reduce the complexity and rampant stupidity of what police are enforcing. Simplify, don't make law incomprehensible to lawyers so that ordinary people aren't breaking laws because everything is illegal. Legal is whatever it is deemed to be, nothing is if you research enough. Lawmakers are in a batshit reality.

AI is being used by courts, no matter how obscure or esoteric among billions of laws being mass produced by lawmakers stored away in document vault buildings, it will find something to convict anyone of a crime. Only when the lawmakers themselves fall victim to their own absurdity will they concern themselves with reduction instead of production and will have plenty of reform to do with their work cut out for them in endless batshit reams of their making no longer living in an alternate reality.
