Finally done with work for this week...Ended my week with 105 hours over the course of two weeks. That's 25 hours of overtime.

    Plus, $650 in Commission.

My check next week is looking nice...Once I get the Manager job I'll be on Salary which I think will be better...

I'm happy to finally have a peon to manage now that we have a new hire starting and I'm not alone in the store anymore.

Peon or not if you want that person to stick around these days when everyone and their ancestors is resigning do not stress him or her out and keep their role menial lest they get promoted and leave and you're by your lonesome at the store again. I usually refrain from giving advice not asked for, reading what you've posted you're overworking and help is hard to find in this labor market. My best advice is to delegate as much as possible so you don't have to babysit.

Oh trust me that's 100% my goal is to make sure they're not going to be as stressed as me, I'm not the kind of Manager to just say "Here you go, take all my shit so I can go relax. Fuck you." I'll take on a shit ton of responsibility, I already am by becoming a Manager at a Cell Phone store.

I'm definitely hoping they're a good salesperson. What matters to me though, is Customer Service.

Customer Service = Repeat Customers = More money in our pockets. Our store has a terrible track record in the past. I've been working at changing that. But, time will tell what happens.

Next week the guy gets to learn opening procedures, then the next week he learns closing. Then after that, he's fully commissionable and able to be on his own. God I can't wait for that day.

He's lucky to have you as his manager. I certainly was not suggesting letting up on your impetus to work and not treat it as vacation time, slacking off is not why you are the manager currently and the best training for a new hire is to be led by example. A certain amount of autonomy helps them feel more at ease, micromanagement only stresses everyone involved unduly. Delegation is good if you know he knows what he's doing, there are no complaints and the store is in organized in an orderly fashion. I'm just glad you're not alone at a store anymore, I needed some good news.

Been watching Gunsmoke on and off for a couple of months now, between other stuff. Because there's years worth of it
Up to S8 now and Leonard Nimoy is in the episode I'm watching. I've read that he appears in several episodes of this, looking forward to seeing the native American character he plays.

Perhaps still more overtime for you . Is it a big pay bump?

Please refresh my memory if you have pictures on hand. What's the interest in the PSU, if you don't mind my asking?

hell that show had pretty much all the famous actors from the 60s-70s in it, if they weren't in that one they'd be on bonaza.

The weather here was also wild for a bit. It's been more consistent the last couple weeks. I assume we're due for heat soon .

I'm not looking forward to the summer heat maybe we'll get lucky this year and have a mild summer.
