I never dump anything on PS4 myself so I wouldn't know
Never needed to so far. Nearly everything gets dumped, or if it doesn't it's usually because it's >9.00 and needs the extra work to backport. Of course there might be some weird Japanese stuff that isn't dumped but that doesn't interest me really. I think I recall some JPN VR stuff being dumped anyway

I think there was one VR game I bought physical and was going to try a dump myself and mess around with orbis update for it, the update removed the requirement for VR.
The update might've got BP, but I have VR now so it doesn't matter (also downloaded a share of the base game).

Looking at the dumping process I think I'm likely to go the same route as you. I do like to understand such things in case I need to do them in the future though.
