    Default ePSXe190 Black Screen

When trying to load Digimon World for Playstation 1 (I haven't tried any other games) I get a black screen. I have correctly configured and tested everything and the program runs fine up until the point of trying to run the ISO. I have used 3 different ISO's.
    My specs are
    System Model: X551MA
    BIOS: X551MA.513
    Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2830 @ 2.16GHz (2CPUS), ~2.2GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    DirectX Version 11.2
    Graphics Chip: Intel(R) HD Graphics
    DAC Type: internal

Please post a screen shot of the ISO files, including file types/extension.

Check out PSXdatacenter.com for good configurations on plugin-based emulators.

And be sure to Run as Administrator

I would LOVE an easier alternative, however I tried pSX and got the no cue file found error
cuebin: No .cue file found! Will attempt to guess format assuming single track
    cuebin: Seems to be MODE1/2048

A picture of the ISO (I just downloaded it and it appeared as a .RAR so I extracted it using AnyToIso)

The better easier alternative is Retroarch with the Mednafen PSX core.

Once you set it up there is no more messing around and getting frustrated like a plugin based emulator.

If you have Pidgin I can help you in real time since I have kinda procrastinated on my Retroarch tutorial for noobs.

BTW I have Digimon World 3 Redump image, I need to post it .

Tried Retroarch, it crashes as soon as I try to load content. I can get pidgin if necessary I'm determined to have this work now lol

It crashes because the bios directory is not set and Mednafen requires a proper image with a descriptor file (cue or ccd)

Give me a bit and il help you set it up.

Not sure what AnyToIso is but it sounds like you didn't extract properly, especially considering how small the disc image is. Try extracting your RAR file with WinRAR or 7zip.

I sent him it redump and got RA working for him so thats that.

CD based dumps are not supposed to be in iso format, iso is only fine for DVD based dumps.

AnyToIso is junk software as far as mixed format CD images (CD images with CDDA tracks) as it can't handle CDDA tracks at all and with PSX CD images it will also destroy the XA headers that they use

Best to avoid the use of software like that one.

I assume you are correct though the image just was not correctly extracted to start with, but for the specs of the OP's PC Warrior hit on correct for overall performance on a lower end machine

though the iso format can be used for CD disc images it would have to have cdda tracks outside the main data track file and require a descriptor file otherwise yeah it is only a really good format for DVD images and single track CD images

The issue was indeed that I was trying to use DVD methods (turning it into an ISO which then creates essentially a fake DVD in the computer) I've done this with old computer games that don't run normally on new systems (EX: resident evil 1) and I assumed that the same method would work here. Due to the roms being CD based an ISO format doesn't work. I just overcomplicated it when I should have just extracted the rom
