I have a PC, this PC hooked to my TV and pads for emulation as well as my original xbox that is mostly packed full of emulators

Saying that I have a bunch of original consoles hooked up also that I liker to use over most emulators, mostly because of the no issues thing, cart based consoles I emulate mostly though with a few exceptions like Sega/Mega CD that I like to emulate and N64 I like to use my actual console mostly though a few of the games can look very nice via emulation

There are few things on android that spark my interest to be honest, I have a few bits that get used but not a lot mostly stuff that interacts with the PS4 though as far as games go anyway, other stuff is for tv/films that I can hook up to my TV if I wanted but that is mostly for portable viewing as I do have that PC hooked up that can do the same plus more.

The only real objection I have with the PS4 and the Xbox One is the price, mostly of the games though there have been some low price releases also, the big named games are very expensive though.

Ya I have my Desktop hooked up to my TV/sound system as well and play pretty much whatever I can through that but these high end android consoles seem pretty neat for what they can do on their own and "NOT" through PC steaming relying on the graphics card and HDD, that is just dumb.

I tried finding out more information regarding the devices own power and I keep getting STREAM THROUGH YOUR PC moronic articles , just hook your machine up to your TV then.

Looks neat but I'll have to see how much it ends up costing over here.

I've actually been eyeing up those NUC form factor PCs lately. Can't afford one right now but they seem ideal to use as a Retroarch box.

a Retroarch box sounds sweet, it is a great frontend/core system that has alot of potential.

It's dumb. Get a cheap PC instead. Android is NOT good for gaming. This is ouya all over again.

There are a few neat games out there that surprisingly come close to a PS3/360 level for Android providing you have a phone or tablet that's powerful enough. And emulation up to the PSP and Dreamcast (unless you have an Intel device for Dreamcast emulation which will not work period) are very decent as well. But yeah a console or computer out performs in every way. And yes I do realize for the amount of money one would pay for such an Android device you could get a used laptop or brand spanking new PS3 for around the same that can do more.

For portable gaming a decent Android device is actually not a bad idea though.

The Nvidia Shield TV also does Dolphin , it needs just a bit of adjusting and it seems like it will run just about perfect.

That is a pretty damn impressive device.

Dolphin on Android is a no-no right now. Trust me on that one

Anything anyone else says is probably B.S. unless they've made a startling compat increase in the last few days..

meh touch controls. Unless you buy one of those huge gamepad thingies that go around the already huge devices, which IMO makes it stop being all that "portable"

I'll just wait for a vita hack. Right now my PSP will do.

Well it does depend on the game of course. Action-wise your prolly out of luck. Something like the classic Resident Evil games is about as far as you can go with a touch screen. RPGs/RTS games are pretty much ok of course as well as the odd driving game depending on what it is.

Getting add ons and controllers for an Android device is pretty retarded IMO and agree that at that point you may as well go for a psp, vita, nds or whatever.

Sorry I meant to say it needs serious optimization , its not in a comfortably playable state yet from what I seen so far but its quite promising.
geze is thinking its using that annoying touch screen gimmick, it uses a controller geze so there is none of that and what actual games run on it are getting real controller enhancements from the original devs.

My issue with the PS4 is that it is a flop in Japan. So most major Japanese games also need to be released on PS3, with PS4 as more of an afterthought.

Before anyone mentions Bloodborne that was obviously made with the US in mind.

Well, well, well... Look what we have here...

Crapcom suddenly remembered Blue Bomber! I want to be happy about that, but... they just rereleasing the first 6 NES installments all over again (4th or 5th time already?), and 7 through 10 is nowhere to be seen. Yes, I want this to be a sigh of better times to come, a new start for a beloved franchise, but something tells me they up to no good.
Let's hope that this is good news and I'm just a cynical paranoid prick.

Well we got a new Tales game on the way,

This year's 29th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing more details on Monday for Bandai Namco Entertainment's Tales of Berseria PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 game.

The game's stage is the sacred kingdom of Midgand, which consists of several large lands and countless archipelagoes. In the game's world, the inhabitants work to advance shipbuilding and sailing technologies. Because of the soil, the variation in climate between the the northern and southern areas of the kingdom is huge, ranging from severe winters to everlasting summers.

The game features a sole heroine for the first time in the franchise: Velvet, who is voiced by Rina Satou. Velvet's life took a complete turn after a certain incident that woke her up three years ago. She is an existence that greatly shocks the world. The magazine quotes Velvet as saying, "I won't give up. I'll bite them as many times as it takes."

The issue also reveals that in addition to Mutsumi Inomata, Kousuke Fujishima will also return to the franchise as a designer for the game.

Animation studio ufotable will animate the game's cutscenes. Bandai Namco Entertainment has only revealed the game for a Japanese release, and the company has not yet revealed a release date or price.

Bandai Namco Entertainment had filed a trademark for the title on April 20.

Tales of Zestiria shipped on January 22 in Japan. Bandai Namco Entertainment will ship the game for the PS3 in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australasia this fall, and it will include both Japanese and English audio tracks. The anime special inspired by the game premiered in Japan last December.
Is it trendy that it has a Female Protag?
