Picking myself up a IGS PGM motherboard through a recent group buy for a good price. Hopefully I can find some decently priced games for it soon as well. Also there are a few Cave conversion carts(Ketsui, DoDonpachi Dai Ou Jou/Black Label, and EspGaluda) for it also that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on, but they're a little bit spendy.![]()

Also recently received a region-modded Taito F3 board from a previous group buy. I'm crossing my fingers that there will be a multi-cart released for it sometime soon. Because some of the really good games(mostly shmups) for it are kind of pricey as well. For my next really big purchase though I really want to buy a Japanese style "Candy" cab, so I need to pick up plenty of stuff to play in it. Until then I have an adapter to play arcade PCBs on my TV.![]()
I have what is usually called a supergun, which is just an adapter that allows me to play actual arcade PCBs. Though I do own an original Gauntlet cabinet, and like I said I'm planning on ordering a Japanese candy cab sometime in the near future. I would like to try my hand at building my own cabinet sometime though.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
Most of the games can be played by themselves as with only a few exceptions (Raidou Games, Persona 2 duology)
I'll see and understand a lot more cameos though if you do play other games in the series.
The original 2 MEgami Tensei games really aren't needed at all cuz they literally are never referenced in modern titles except in very very subtle ways.
