    I haven't played any of those games in years since my last 360 RRODd. I need to get another one, or resurrect one of my JTAGs, so I can start playing more modern shmups. The main Cave shumps I've been playing are Do Don Pachi, and ESP Ra. De., and I haven't been able to 1CC either one yet.

    My last 1CC was Blazing Lazers, and that wasn't really all that hard. You have some skills getting the 1CC in Mushi on Ultra.

    You ever play much Toaplan, or Raising shmups? Those can be quite punishing.

    A dungeon crawler. Your characters die permanently rather quickly due to a curse. 24 "months". Dungeons are timed, each time you run out of time that takes a month, but it prompts you after a month if you want to continue or return home. Other actions that use a month include creating a child (lol) or resting. You progress by getting your characters stronger by birthing stronger characters (waiting until they are closer to death, since they will have better stats) with stronger gods (by using devotion which you get from fights). Creating better bloodlines over time. There are different difficulty settings and the game tells you the exact percentage changes for each.

    Like I said that one was effing hard. Took a lot of practice until I got in a zone. I am quite sure I could not just fire up the game and do it again the first crack at it.

    Examples? Can't be arsed to look shit up right now.

    that sounds actually quite cool. i think i had heard of another game with a similar gameplay (in terms of making children that continue the fight) but cant quite remember what it was... pretty sure it was another japanese dungeon crawler though

    Maybe Conception II? Big difference in the quality of the two games though.

    There are a shit ton of dungeon crawlers on Vita with more on the way lol.
