I've got nothing against NA shows, I've watched plenty of US & Canadian stuff.
A Euro version of Star Trek would probably have mostly crap actors/characters and woeful sfx

But I don't see the point in making a US version of something that is ok anyway not great, but ok as it is.

Yeah, make regional versions of Big Brother and other similar shite 'cos that sort of makes sense.
Although Top Gear is an example of something that is just pathetic if it isn't the UK version.

My "track record" comment went more for the adaptation thing. Western hemisphere media isn't exactly good on taking something that exists and making it work in another format. Remakes/adaptations/imports are frequently rather poor over here.

It's mostly the filter out your silly accents. 9 out of 10 americans go into blinking rage fits anytime someone on TV has an accent. Worse if said person isn't either the comic relief or the villain. It's why you have Canadian/Mexican arabs with fake british accents being terrorists. Because that's just the way it works in Hollywood.

The Nazis didn't have a majority but they were popular because they kept claiming they were job creators and were standing up for your rights.

Which was a big deal as massive debt put Germany in the toilet and lead to a lot of people either out of work or working themselves to death so they can bring wheelbarrows of money to the store for a loaf of bread.

They were also prone to being super loud.

And then they basically sapped power away from the ruling parties under the guise that the evils of COMMUNISM were coming to take Germany away from the Germans and there you go.

All those poor people making it impossible to earn a decent paycheque (wait, I mean paycheck) and always using your tax dollars to buy expensive cars and drugs.

Maybe they should all be rounded up and forced to do an honest day's work.

Like digging holes or doing construction or making munitions.

Also, probably round up all those rich people who keep sucking money away from everyone and then hoarding it or exporting it to other countries. Take their money away and redistribute to honest hardworking americans.

Don't get me started on those filthy immigrants trying to steal our jobs and suck up social assistance on their 20 babies.

And we could probably do all this too if those stinking hippies would get out of the way.

Which is why, effective immediately, being a filthy hippie is punishable by complete dissolution of your rights. You're either one of us, or one of them. And if you're one of them you should be breaking your back with the rest of the parasites.
