Probably what Drag said, but I don't remember having to mess around with that shit all that much. A little yeah, but maybe you're going overboard?

Also, don't run into areas and draw huge amounts of foes. Try drawing in just a few.
I dunno if that will help, but maybe it will for dungeons.

No idea then. I didn't micromanage that much, I just fiddled with the auto actions a bit until I found something that worked. I only had trouble in a few places, and most of those were later in the game.

Certainly not like Dragon's Dogma, which was a pain at times.
For micromanaging? Strange, I don't remember having to do any in DD.

Could just be having an off night. With a game like DA:O, it's hard to tell what you might be doing wrong. I would assume you've upgraded your armour and weapons and all that jazz, and you don't need to grind to level match your enemies...

I didn't mean that, just having your party die around you and not having enough time to do anything about it.
    Then you die.

Yeah I think I was just off my game earlier. I'm having no problems now and have finished a few sidequests so far without any problems.

I ran into that when I was using the same pawns for more than a couple of hours. Otherwise... yeah, there were a few times when almost everyone died, but it never really gave me any big problems until some of the later levels.

The biggest problem I saw with DD was that you could access certain areas of the game that you obviously aren't meant to get to in the beginning. Within the first part of the game, there is a point where the game tells you directly to go on a quest (the one to save the chick in the forest) that you aren't ready for. Once I got passed those points, and remember to grab new pawns, I didn't really have any trouble, 'cept for maybe one or two later levels.

Easy enough on NG+, but yeah on a first run stuff like that is painful.

Probably a really terrible comparison that I brought up (confusing), but DAO isn't a difficult game from what I recall.

Well, it can get a bit tricky, especially early on, but once you've got the hang of it, it becomes relatively easy, yes.

The fact that you even have to overclock the CPU through your settings just to get all of the games to "run perfectly" kind of attests to this.

Btw, no matter what you say, you won't convince him of anything, ever.

I posted a few pages back that my game cube emu plays games at 4x the native resolution. I never had a gc though.

I left you a nice long list of GCN games you should go play.

Now go back to playing Eternal Darkness, that game would look beautiful at 4x the native resolution.

Yeah thanks. Gotta find a better game pad first. Mine has no sticks.
