    You people and your languages.

    I've just resolved myself to being an English only speaker for the rest of my life.

    At least the US and Canada are big enough that I can do some serious traveling without needing a new language.

    Hell, I ended up speaking mostly English when I was in Germany and Italy, too. We were mostly on the tourist track anyway, and no on seemed interested in speaking German with me. I wasn't that terrible!

    England and Australia too! Hint Australia > England. To visit at least, I wouldn't want to live in Australia for a lot of reasons.

    But I have an English boyfriend who can do all the talking. I have no advantages in Australia. And as cute as the wildlife can be I'm not terribly interested in visiting a place that gets to be 40+ Celsius.
