TOS, TNG, VOY, DS9, ENT, TAS.

Yeah, TOS is corny but I'm a big fan of old sci-fi (which is mostly cheesy anyway) and the "limitations" don't make it difficult for me to watch.
In fact the original show (without the recent enhancements) had pretty good effects for television back then.
Shatner and Nimoy really make the show worth watching.

It's difficult for me to choose between Voyager and DS9.
I guess I can put up with a female captain more easily than Sisko, his kid and all that rubbish about the wormhole aliens.
And Voyager has a sexy Borg.
Although any DS9 ep's involving Klingons are cool.

    G'morning all.

My jaws hurt after yesterday's... tooth extraction. This is not a good day to be on telephone work.

Scotland isn't actually a bad country to live in for lots of reasons, and I don't dislike it. But given the history that I have there, and how much happier and more free I feel when I'm divorced from said history, I can't see myself being able to live there comfortably once I graduate.

Also, being outside of the English language world and being able to speak and listen to a foreign language for hours upon hours every day is awesome. So there's that.

    Hi Elin!
Customer service for the Government's Department of Education. Given that it's a call center that employs multiple dozens of people, I don't think I can ask someone to fill in for me in that regard.

Mind you, if this headache worsens, I'm going off sick, but I don't want to have to if I can avoid it.

Oh, and Elin, yay foreign languages. I am a linguist, after all.

What sort of questions do you have to deal with?

Not much. I'll be busy for a few hours today, having to work on a Cave Story mod and finishing work of the current version before 1 June.
Mostly dialogue replacement of two characters in the mod... with several dozen others having boring dialogue.

... And trying to resist the urge to procrastinate.

@Eggman: Oh, sorry to hear that. Have you taken any painkillers?

@Shane: How do you mod? Does it involve programming/hacking or does it have special tools that you use?

@Elin: Nothing much. I'm just chilling today. Maybe I watch some anime... I also have to clean up my PSP music library. How's your day going? btw I forgot to ask you: what are you studying?

    What anime are you watching?

I major in Japanese, but here in Japan, I basically just study whatever I feel like studying, being that, so long as the classes I take are in Japanese, it all counts as study for my major. Right now I'm studying Greek Philosophy, Linguistics, Serbo-Croatian, Japanese literature, Japanese film, and about three Japanese language modules.

A special program known as CaveEditor, although it is possible to use assembly to change a lot of things in the mod (such as the title screens, how enemies react, even changing weapons and movement). However, I don't use assembly because it's too hard, so sometimes I ask another person who mods Cave Story to do assembly hacks to the mod. Said person has actually made a shoot 'em up mod of Cave Story.

    ...

Replacing the dialogue took far less time than I thought it would, I thought it'd take at least three hours...
