Yeah, i'm using Krylon Dual black as a primer, then Krylon metallic gold, and Rustolium gloss varnish at the end. I left the topcase and the flip-top door unvarnished though. Since I'm still planning on doing some more painting by hand on those parts.

Bdass. Well good luck man, can't wait to see the finished product. I'm bout to go clean the piss outta the NES's before my girl gets home. I've basically commandeered the kitchen counter to use as my work table and she's not too happy about it

Fuck that looks shiny. When you first said you were going to do a gold one, I had a completely different image in my head. That looks badass.

    Poop.

Got the PS3 upstairs now. Only catch is I have to switch the monitor for PC to play the PS3. Can't quite afford the big TV yet.

What kind of video inputs does your monitor have?

A HDMI and DVI port. I've used the DVI port for my second monitor at the moment. Quite messy but it'll have to make do

EDIT: I tell a lie there is a third port. sub I think. I might be able to play around with it, but I don't know if its worth messing around with if I do get a telly at the end of the month

If I have a spare £400 next month I might do it. But seeing as I have only £60 in the bank til the end of the month it could be tricky.

    Thanks man!

I was thinking I would give epforums members first crack at my first custom NES once it's finished. If anyone is interested.

Currently working on a glossy black "onyx" NES currently. Might highlight it with maybe gold or silver paint haven't decided yet.

HDMI? Lucky bastard...I really wish I could upgrade two of my monitors. These Acers are pretty slow to boot and one of them is connected to a Display Port converted to VGA.

I might be interested, but I'm sure the shipping would kill me.

You should consider doing one of those fast forward videos of the custom job from start to finished. I think that would be pretty cool to see.
