The original series has always been one of my all-time favorites. In fact, I just received a copy of the original Phantasy Star in the mail recently. Now I have the complete original quadrilogy. Now to fill in the rest of the gaps with the rest of the modern PS series games.

Windows 8 has tainted everything Microsoft-related.

I've never much cared for any of the 360s dash revisions. Of course maybe it because I've mainly only dealt with Freestyle Dash.

Not the full retail version. Although I'm sure you could download some kind of preview version to try out. But from what I've read/heard is they changed the interface to look like a smart phone interface. Completely ugly and retarded for a desktop PC. So from what you've said about the 360s new dash, it looks like they did a similar fucked up style interface for that as well.

Yep. It looks pretty damn corny. I mean, all the icons are literally IN YOUR FACE and it's pretty distracting. I went to my arcade games and it reminded me of Elvira's tits - just BOOM, in your face! (not that that's a bad thing, cause it isn't, but icons for senior citizens aren't cool)

As long as you like turn-based RPGs you should like it. The setting is where it shines though. Since it's not your run-of-the-mill fantasy setting. It's more of a sci-fi setting, unlike most RPGs of that era.

Yea, I dig turn based games, and all types of RPGs. I'm sure I'd like them, I just never really mess with Sega games (prior Dreamcast) for some stupid reason.

Cool. I need some games for Halloween anyway - I just beat the tar outta Splatterhouse and need something new that's horror-themed. I'm gonna start Sweet Home on the NES since I've never played it, but I doubt it will take more than a few days to finish.

Would be great for a Hallowe'en game. And depending how much time you can dedicate to it, you can probably finish it before Hallowe'en even comes around. Took me about four days to beat it without putting too much dedication towards it.

Pawn shops were a total bust yesterday. There wasn't a damn thing at either of the one's I went to unfortunately. I still have a couple more pawn shops to check later this week though. So there might still be something decent out there yet to be found.

Also, will be getting a working, non-modded PS3 here sopon. My roommates dad is selling his off. I made him an offer. I'm still waiting on his reply, but it's pretty much a sure thing. When I do get that from him he said he would also include a CIB Odyssey 1 video game console for free. Talk about an awesome bonus!

I've found the same thing with the pawn shops around here. I haven't had too much luck lately. I might head up island on one of my days off later in the week and check out a couple of stores I've heard about. I'm still deciding on that part. It's a helluva boring drive to do by myself.

I meant to tell you about a converter that a buddy of mine has, though. He has an old pirate Famicom multi-cart connected to a pirate Famicom->NES converter. It's enclosed in a pretty snazzy case and looks like an official product. I wanted to buy it off him, but I think his sister still uses it. If he still has it next time I'm over there I'll try and remember to bring my camera and take a picture of it.
