You could theoretically bypass the ugly.

Of course, and it would make it much more simple too. Than I'll just make Phantasy Star Adventure/Gaiden into SMS repros. They might only work on the GG with the aforementioned adapter though. Since from what I've read, the SMS and the GG supposedly use different palettes.

Right and that is why most "converting" programs fail...But its always worth a try since people also claim 'some' success. SMS carts are very cheap and apparently use the same mapper which will give you much more luck in finding donors. Especially when it comes to savers I think. I do not have an SMS though, so I can't guarantee anything.
