I love me some of these nuances, honestly, I'm not sure why. Whether it's sentence-final さ, or asking a question with かい, or even やがる, (which actually popped up in Muramasa as なのに殺しやがった), it's all sort of fascinating to me.

I've butchered so many beautiful final particles / obscure sentence endings in my time translating Japanese to English. Obviously you can write beautifully in English too, but it's never quite the same. :'D

By the way, double checked in my super cool grammar dictionary (link here, if you're ever interested, though all the explanations in it are in Japanese~) to make sure I wasn't selling you wrong information, and it confirms that だもん is mostly for kids / girlish women. So unless you want to further your reputation as Gare-chan, probably best to avoid that one.

Some sets are a lot stronger than others. The current block is definitely in a power creep. Multiple cards from it are multi-format allstars. It will tone back down, it always does. Evidence to this is Ponder and all the Titans NOT being reprinted in M13. This is a good thing, the Titans were getting old. Ponder not being reprinted seemed inevitable. That way they didn't have to do any bans to deal with Delver and it's already banned in Modern. Though that is a bad thing imo.

That version of Jace is pretty much the only planewalker that is vintage playable though. Old cards don't fuck around.

A couple more see legacy play from time to time.

I guess there will always be overpowered cards, and they can only really work out which ones are overpowered by throwing a set into tournament play and seeing what sticks. I don't think I know most of the cards you're talking about, though. :'D I think the last time I played was like... Tempest / Stronghold era? A looooong time ago now.

Personally, I understand Spanish enough to read it (and barely hold a conversation), because it's so similar to English
But yay for English being my native tongue.... now if I was trilingual.....

You probably speak Spanish about as well as I speak French, I imagine. I can sort of muddle my way through novels in French, but with lots of looking up words in dictionaries, and lots of relying on my knowledge of English. :'D I really wish I spoke more languages.

Oh god the Gare-chan fanfiction will never end. And yeah, I had this feeling that it wasn't a masculine expression. But I wanted to know for reading/listening purposes.
