Yeah, you're going to laugh when I tell you what position I'm training him for...fucking dishwashing!

I like the kid, but he's 22 and this is his first job. I had over a half-dozen previous jobs before I was his age. His main problem is he gets distracted by talking to other co-workers. When he should be paying attention and doing his damn job. Now my boss wants me to show him how a "real' worker closes up the station. I don't know how many times I can show him...

I need to get the fuck out of that place.

I think Gyp, Shard, Beelzebub and Wyrm all speak it to varying degrees. Xena and Mushindo did too, back in the day. Mistral seems to know a little via anime, Japanese music and the like. And there are a couple of members whose names elude me who seem to post about lots of new Japanese games in the Now Playing thread. Don't know if they play them blind or not, but yeah~

But it can be difficult to gauge someone's ability from the odd conversation online and the Japanese LPs they've dabbled in. :'D Still, give it consideration. I don't think it's beyond you at all.
Haha, that is true. I think only the person him/herself really knows what they're capable of. Clearly, we should converse more in Japanese to find out.

And then get kicked out of the HO for it. It'd be hilarious.

Maybe you should tell your boss your sick of showing him, he might understand your frustration, do you get paid for this after work "training"

Ah, cool, I didn't know about Beelze and Wyrm, and thought Gyp and Shard gave up their studies. That's pretty nice.

Also, protip, because it works like magic for me: Read weeaboo horror stories online. Boosts kanji learning motivation like a motherfucker.

Anything to be not like those people.

I dont really speak any Japanese. Various Kanji perplexes me, and I have watched kaiju flicks, in Japanese, for many years....ah well.
I used to do ok in Canada, so long as its close to the Quebec/Hartford dialect, and I do a bit better with Spanish, particular to regions of Mexico.

You flatter me. Although I know, very, very, very little. I have never studied "proper", and the only training I've done is stumbling through Japanese-only games for the past 10+ years.

Some people just don't know the meaning of "work ethic" or "elbow-grease" for that matter. They just want an easy go at life and want to just barely scrape by with minimal effort.

it's not "after work" I just get my schedule changed for a day and get to come in at night to help this kid. I'm just a prep cook, but I'm one of the people who's worked there the longest. Plus they know I'm a hard worker and know how to get the job done properly.

This is likely his last chance to get it right or get the hell out.

    Hiya Grady.

I'm trying to decide whether I should download TF2 or not...This computer is so good that my friend said it could run Skyrim at almost max everything, awesome.

Meant to ask you earlier, Beelze - Do you go in for these 'variant screw' NES games? I was told that I had a few of the 'five screw', or whatever the hell they are called..

Dunno what a 'TF2' is, Roxas.....TransFormers? Those two (more now?) live-action 'films' were embarassing...and I'm not a TF fan...

    Yo, Shword.
