I.e. SatAM Robotnik is a very dark and sinister one like the claw in inspector gadget with less comedy where as Sonic X has a more Comical Robotnik/Eggman.
Oh and then there's Regions too i.e. SonicX robotnik in Japan swears and curses

if i were to address ALL the universes (from games to TV and comic) this would be more screwed up and jumbled than pre 52 DC. they managed to some up with re-imagining one-shots every few months, had several universes published at once, andmanaged to screw thing up by deciding that they needed to explain how the series's had gone on for so long the the mains not aging at all......
