I know I won't always be limited to 8 casts of a single spell, but for the moment, I am. I haven't really made any progress in the past couple of weeks. My work schedule has been really messing with my level of consciousness at any given time, and the last time I had a couple of days off in a row I ended up playing other games with my sister just because they happened to be the games I had with local multiplayer.

I don't. Not usually, anyways. When I first get a new game, I just want to start playing it. Option menu usually waits until I need a break for a little bit, so I decide to go digging.
I didn't start fiddling with the option menu in Nier until well into NG+.
