I enjoyed the second one, but since I picked it up primarily for the multiplayer, the single-player campaign was essentially just a bonus.
But I should really focus on actually playing Dark Souls before I make any more 60 dollar purchases in the near future.
I really hate melee. My Demon's Souls character had me so spoiled.
I've always enjoyed the melee builds.I'm sure that magic would have made the game a bit easier, but there's something about being a walking brute that just felt so satisfying.
And I honestly wouldn't recommend picking up U3 until the price comes down a bit. It hasn't felt like a $60 game to me. Maybe a $40. I was honestly more satisfied with my purchase of Alice: Madness Returns at $60 than I was with U3.
This.I had heard people saying it was harder than the previous games, and was like "Whaaaaat?" when I finally played it. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's too easy, but... like... when someone as bad at action games as me doesn't have much trouble, you know it's on the easy side of the spectrum. :'D
Also, Skyrim comes out soon as well. Silly as it may sound, I was actually one of the seemingly few people who actually had fun with Morrowind and Oblivion.I haven't been particularly dying for it to come out, but I may pick it up just because I think my boyfriend would play it also, which is quite a rare thing.
Also, I probably wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the fact I obsessively go to the options menu every time I boot up a game for the first time.

Get more pyromancy. Depths/Blighttown. Proceed to burn things. No more melee!
Second this statement. Not sure it's a "GO BUY NAO" like the previous game. It's more like "keep an eye out for it once it starts dropping. Might make for a fun weekend or two". Or you could wait for the inevitable complete version. Which may or may not be that different, seeing as all the DLC that's out right now happens to be on the disc. And seeing as they'll likely just repack UC3's DLC maps into UC4 and claim it's "new content".
Oh ND, how sad you have made me this week.
The only way I can see it being harder is if you bother with melee.
Since it's using a worse version of UC1's melee, it's not worth it unless you're playing on a low difficulty or happen to excel at setting up the context melees.
Once you stop trying to punch things the game becomes super easy.
I noticed the Goldeneye remake on the rental shelf today. I had no idea they released it for the 360...
The shield enemies took me a while to get used to. I finally started to get the hang of them. Or just saved all of my grenades for them.Either or.
Now that I think about it, that bit on the plane took me probably fifteen tries. But I died so fast that it went by fairly quickly.
And I think there was one point in the boat, with the shield enemies, shotgun dudes and snipers, that took me quite a while.
There are people who don't do this? Insanity.
I know I won't always be limited to 8 casts of a single spell, but for the moment, I am.I haven't really made any progress in the past couple of weeks. My work schedule has been really messing with my level of consciousness at any given time, and the last time I had a couple of days off in a row I ended up playing other games with my sister just because they happened to be the games I had with local multiplayer.
Ah yes. That part.
I don't. Not usually, anyways. When I first get a new game, I just want to start playing it. Option menu usually waits until I need a break for a little bit, so I decide to go digging.
I didn't start fiddling with the option menu in Nier until well into NG+.
I usually don't change a whole lot, but I always look at the Options menu before jumping into a game.
