PS: not sure how to feel about the new undead system. There doesn't appear to be any real benefit to walking around with a body aside from summoning phantoms. I've purely been using humanity to go human then kindle a fire. I summoned like once, but since shit scales poorly summoning phantoms just makes the game harder for everyone. Screw it.

Without spoiling anything: item drop rates, and resistance to some of the new status effects go up in Body form. Among other things.

Okay, so Dark Souls. ...

Definitely glad I didn't pick it up on release, then. I really enjoyed Demon's Souls, but I'll probably still wait for Dark Souls to come down to about the $30 mark before I buy it.
