As an aspiring mage, I am currently jealous of this fact Aeolus. And mildly disgusted, of course. That should go without saying.

I must admit though - I honestly can't see the magic in CoD. To me, it looks like a brownish grey shooter with brownish-grey animations and brownish-grey graphics. If they could get away with it, they'd probably even make all the (graphically detailed) bloodspatters brownish-grey.

Mind you, I think the same about the BF series. I suppose it's just not for me.

Yeah, all these games look exactly the same to me. Grey soldier shoots brown soldier and vice versa, now with even shinier graphics. If that's your thing, more power to you, but I'm still a bit baffled by the amount of hype these games get.

Oh, there are certainly exceptions to the rule. I'm quite fond of Serious Sam because it doesn't try to involve a poorly enacted 'dramatic' storyline. To quote Zero Punctuation (may be a paraphrase, it's been a while ): "There's just you, your gun, and the entire population of murdertown between you and where you want to be."
