Aah, Demon's Souls is soo hard. It's like, I bought it knowing it was hard, but you know world 1-1? Easiest enemies, simple attack patterns, basically a training wheels section? I've gotten to the mid-point merchant three times ever in several dozen tries. I've broken my sword once already trying to get through it, and I'm already over halfway to a second break judging by the durability. I don't even know how I'm going to get enough souls to fix it if it breaks again, since I haven't so much as seen the archdemon running this section. How do people even get through this?![]()
What did you pick as your starting class?
But as a general rule, right now you just gotta move slowly, and try pulling tactics. If you can reach the merchant, the only real problem you should be having is the bridge, and you honestly don't have to fight much of anyone on the bridge.
Magician; Water Veil has been a godsend. I do try that, but it's rather difficult. The firebombs are not cheery at all, and about half the time I die in those closed-in spaces where you're getting bombarded with firebombs while fending off knights with fire weapons, but the shielded knights are really nasty. I get in close and they hammer my shield away. I keep my distance and they close the distance when I try to do anything. I get in under their guard after dodging their hit, then they heal and force me to start over. Then there's the polearms...
Also, which bridge? The only one I can think of is the one you start on. I can only barely reach the merchant.
Can't aim, can't shoot. Try to aim, keep running into things, can't move. Catch 22.![]()
Gonna listen to a podcast and maybe get some sleep.![]()
I chose royalty (I believe) and started the game with soul arrow. The auto-aim feature (the one you activate by hitting R3 - or something to that effect) was always sufficient for me, unless my target happened to walk behind a wall or something.
The only issue I ever had was not having enough spices to keep up my MP half the time in the later stages.
Wish you could, too. It's rather fun, brick walls aside. Just never expect it to pull any punches.
Also, mameshiba~.
Ah. Yeah, I just have this awkward issue where I keep backing into corners whenever I use it, at which point I get hacked to death. Since I can't really shoot from the hip, that makes spells rather situational for me. Pity, though; Fire Shot is really effective whenever I can pull it off. Well, keep practicing, and I'm sure I get it.![]()
Beddddddddd.![]()
