On the bright side, thanks to farming seeds for the Tear, I managed to get (I think) all 15 needed black pearls from Captain Sparrow since I had to constantly quit the game anyway. Now I just need piercings, rings, and bracelets... And gold ore.

I think you can buy gold ore somewhere. Probably seafront or the junk heap. Piercings and rings (I think) you can easily grab by running through the lost shrine (which you need to do anyway for the endings).

Not that I've seen. You can get Iron, Copper, and Silver from the Junk Heap, but I didn't see a place to buy gold (and according to this, you have to gather it)
