I'm the best network admin ever, nigga. I got all of my house's computers/OSes printing with my father-in-law's HP LaserJet 4000 shared over the network.

Some back story: About three months ago, he got a virus on his XP (he won't use anything else), and was forced to reinstall everything. He had wonderful backups, though. Ever since, there's been no printing and limited access to his data shares.

Today, I went down to his computer because I couldn't add the printer into Snow Leopard (my computer). After fucking around for... three hours, I not only got the printer available in my hackintosh, I got it working in my wife's Win7, HIS wife's XPMCE, my brother-in-law's XP and Fedora, and his Macbook.

I'm the shit.

It's called printer sharing. They invented it about the same time as locking hubcaps.
