So I'm seeing that 30FPS is the normal rule for fluid looking games.

Those damn benchmarks make me think the minimum is 80-120 or something.

Yeah, because the devs doing a half-assed job or releasing games on a less powerful platform is entirely MS and Sony's fault and not them trying to make more money, yeah.
To be fair, it doesn't look that much worse, and it was the most pirated game the year it came out.

Who says piracy never hurt anyone?

It sure hurts the hardcore PC gamer market.

You know, the ones who never pay for anything aside from video cards, RAM, and hard drives (and if they could they'd pirate those too).

    Yeah, those guys.

You only need intelligence if you're a wizard, and it only gives a minor lore increase and max learned spells .

You guys played BG at some point, right? Did you have BGT installed?

I see where the whole: "EVERYTHING SHOULD BE FREE" mentality comes from.

It's more like I shouldn't be allowed to open doors.

    Ever.

Bad things happen when I do.

It's actually a lot lower. You could get by with something like 15.

It's all dependent on how it's handled.

(Most movies don't even hit 30 FPS. The standard film speed is ~17-20 FPS)

I want to go to China and buy all the pirated DVDs, and counterfeit products I can haul, too bad I never will .

Actually, on that note most of my LP videos are locked at 30.

Alone in the dark runs at about 30 natively and I recorded at something like 16 FPS.

    No one noticed.

You should have 'accidentally' cast a few fireballs his way . Playing BG in the original engine is a terrible idea, when you can play it straight into BGII with the BGII engine.

We didn't play the first game.

    Only BGII and ToB.

We contemplated playing the other Infinity Engine games, but it didn't work out so well.
Probably because of the large, somewhat international groups.

Which is kinda sad, because Hypnos is great fun when you can manage to have him around.

My nephew recently made an FB post about his girlfriend. She's in high school.

    Should I feel old now?
