Already played Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
    I suggest (all for PSX):

    - Clock Tower
    - Dino Crisis
    - Soul of the Samurai
    - Galerians

Don' worry, it won't hurt... that much!

    Okay. I'm making this post.

As some of you know, I just got a PS2 the other day. (Thanks Zal! ). I have a few games to start playing, but eventually I'm going to want to pick up some more. And I'm looking for a quick list of recommended titles. I enjoy action/adventure, platformers, and action-RPGs to an extent. Also, shooters and whatnot that at least partially break the mold from a typical shooter (but not Fallout. Fuck Fallout )

    Games I currently own:

    • Resident Evil 4
    • Final Fantasy XII
    • Gran Turismo 4
    • God of War II
    • Star Trek: Encounters
    • Goldeneye: Rogue Agent
    • Bond: Everything or Nothing
    • Red Faction 2
    • Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal

So, like I said... I'm looking for recommended titles. Of the games that I already own, RE4, Ratchet & Clank, Rogue Agent and God of War are going to be receiving the most attention. I've heard great things about Shadow of the Colossus and have always been intrigued by it (especially after seeing gameplay footage in "Reign Over Me"), and I'll probably pick up all of the Ratchet & Clank titles anyways. But seriously... are there any other recommendations? I don't mind RPGs, but I do have a tendency to get bored with them. Also, not a huge fan of sandbox games -- I find I get lost more than anything, and again get bored and give up.

Shadow Hearts 2 (actual title is Shadow Hearts: Covenant, but it's the second game in the series) is one of my all-time favourite games on the console, so I'll go ahead and mention it, despite what you've said about RPGs. It's pretty much a traditional RPG gameplay-wise, what makes it so memorable to me is the fact that it takes place in an alternate WW1-era Europe. Meaning, you have all kinds of cool places to explore. You don't necessarily need to play the first SH to understand the story, but it doesn't hurt to read a quick plot summary somewhere online.

Okami is... well, it's Zelda, except you're controlling a wolf. And before you ask, it's a lot more Zelda than Darksiders.

There's also the PS2 port of Silent Hill: Origins, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Origins is actually a really nice SH game (better than 4 and Homecoming in my eyes), while Shattered Memores kinda sucks gameplay-wise, but has a really good plot, IMO the best in the entire franchise. It was a pleasant surprise.

Zone of the Enders 2 is really nice. Haven't played the first game, but I hear it's, uh... not that good.

And do pick up SotC. Best game on the PS2. Seriously.

There's a lot more I could mention, but since I'm mostly into RPGs myself, the majority of those recommendations would fall into said genre. So uh, yeah. Awkward!

    My suggestions are:

    - Onimusha 3
    - Tenchu - Wrath of Heaven
    - Tenchu - Fatal Shadows

and if you don't might Anime-Style Action-Rpg's... I can suggest both Dark Chronicle and Odin Sphere

Don' worry, it won't hurt... that much!

    It's okay, but it's no ZoE2.

    "Odin Sphere"

    Seconded.

I played the Mass Effect 2 demo the other day, and I really liked that style of game. Are there any other xbox 360 games like that? I would google it but my computer is messed up and I can't use google

    Thanks!

Either he's saying he lacks the ability to properly use it to find similar games (which is entirely understandable, FPS RPG is a pretty unique genre), or he has the "Google redirect virus" (which is also understandable, because PORN).

Actually it's both, but the virus isn't because of porn.

Really depends on which aspect of ME2 you liked. If you liked the combat, get Gears of War? If you want the character interaction/dialogue and such, you could probably try other Bioware games. Like, Dragon Age: Origins or Mass Effect 1. Or even Dragon Age 2, which is kinda-sorta like ME2, I guess. Maybe. I've only played the demo and people who finished the full thing say mixed things, so yeah. Keep that in mind.

    Aeonhunter would like to suggest:

    1. Final Fantasy 9 - psx
    2. Final Fantasy 10 - ps2
    3. Final Fantasy 6- psx
    4. Legend of Dragoon - psx
    5. Gun - ps2
    6. every Legend of Zelda game for N64 & Super Nintendo

    The End.
Moogle's are more kick-ass than they look.

Can anyone suggest any ps2 games that are similar to Soul Nomad & the World Eaters, Mana Khemia (1 & 2) or Growlanser Generations, basically something like an rpg or turn based strategy that won't kill me with boredom when I'm not fighting and have to sit there and watch them talk.
I'd played most of the games made by NIS, but they... got boring after the first... 3 or 4 playthroughs.
I prefer a game where I can be evil... but those are rare and I doubt there's alot of them. Though why is that? I mean sure, being the Hero has its perks... but sometimes a person wants everything to... just die or be subjugated under them. 3

Seconded, although I haven't played Gun yet.

....where? Because I haven't found a game where the Hero does that.
Soul Nomad's demon path... hehehe does that, a game similar to that would be fun.

Well any ps2 game that won't have me banging my head on the my desk and calling the characters insulting names would be great ^___^
