To me that's how it should have been. 4 was terrible even back then.
You seem to be missing MK3 MK3 > anything after that.

Has to do with the refresh rate on the TV IIRC.

SNES and Megadrive DO just require you to mod the cart slot, I assumed the N64 was the same...

Kouen pointed me out for a good game deal on Trine and other games I can't remember where you pay what you want. I'm downloading them atm.

Modding the cartridge slot isn't enough even for SNES and Mega Drive a lot of the time. It depends on the game. Some are region locked, some aren't. That's why you need the adapter to piggy back it.

No, there's a region lock out. You can fuck about soldering some chip from an NTSC cart into a PAL N64 IIRC, but an adapter is easier. It fits the slot, so no modding required. Get a decent adapter, something like a piss passport 3.

You can remove the tabs on a USA N64 to play Jap games, the only difference is the cart slot, tabs.

Edit: PAL SNES is the same, you need an adapter. Early Mega Drives just needed the cart slot widening.

Good job I'm not interested in imports anyway.

Full screen, full speed...Who'd be interested when compared to letter box screen, and slower games?

I've always played N64 games as they were in PAL, so I really don't care.
