My hair doesn't grow "down," it just kind of grows "out."
Therefore, keep it short.
I let it grow long for the same reason. When my hair is short, I end up with cowlicks all over the place. Longer, it's heavy enough to counteract the goofy shit like that.
I've more or less stopped straightening mine, it looks way nicer left wavy at this length.
... I'm keeping my fucking hair short.

I don't like to have to worry about a lot of maintenance on my hair. It's just... easier to keep it short and not have to worry about it at all.

Yeah, aside from the time it takes to wash it, my hair is more trouble when it's short. Unless I just get it buzzed once every 2-3 weeks. But screw that. I'd rather get a haircut once a year, tops.
Also, doing the hair flick is fun. And a conversation piece.

Or you could just buy some hair clippers and give it a quick buzz once a week.
Doesn't work quite as well when you forget to do it, though, 'cause now I gotta get someone over to do it for me.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Far too much work. That's more maintenance than my hair requires now.
