So my father has no electricity.

A delivery truck drove down his road, and the top of the container caught the electric wire going across the street. The guy didn't bother to stop. So he yanked the telephone pole over about 20º, tore a board off the side of my dad's house, and disconnected our electricity. Fun times.

Then, while the cops/firemen/electric company people were out there, it started raining and lightning struck the next street over. Woohoo, Texas.

My friend had the same thing happening to him.

Except that the thing ripped off his electric meter (the thing that allows the electric company how much they should rob-I mean, charge you for next month.)

The thing is, they reported it, and it took them more than three months to actually go and fix it. Free electricity for three months!
