Even if I went to school and got a degree in something, to get any sort of decent pay for what I had learned I would have to move out of Nanaimo, and I don't plan on doing that for quite a while. I can make more money working at the supermarket than I can doing pretty much anything else. So might as well.

Did you know that each CF bulb has a ball of mercury in it, and it's technically illegal to throw them in the trash? Breaking one requires a haz-mat cleanup

I doubt it will get anywhere at all but I always thought it was an interesting idea, it looks like a more efficient version of the old established Wankel rotary engine which itself is only in the Mazda Rx-8 I think.

There was talk of EU law banning incandescent bulbs or at least an incentive to reduce their usage. I like CFLs, they also have voltage regulation in them so they actually last much longer compared to incandescent light bulbs. Also they use only about 21watts which is nothing and they last longer.

Only time will tell I suppose.

I heard that they last something like 10 years. Pretty crazy really, it makes you wonder why this wasn't adopted earlier.
