Have you watched Dead Set? It's about a zombie outbreak in a Big Brother-like show in England, fast zombies and while the violence is a bit toned down (sometimes, because I saw a spectacular fire extinguisher skull bashing in the first episode ). I started it last night but I liked it a lot, and remembered you like zombies.

TV series. It's fairly short, 6 episodes or so, the first one is 45-minutes long, but it doesn't look cheap or anything.

Bit of both, but I think it's the latter, the outbreak starts during an eviction night, almost all England is zombified now but those guys never know because of them being isolated from the outside world, you'd have to watch it to see for yourself.
