No, they require a different set of skills. I'm tired of seeing this shit.
Yeah.. I agree with you there. The whining is pretty annoying.

I'm checking them out from my library, I still need to catch up to Jazz . You all need to remember this important fact about people playing fighters online: they are all mediocre.

Unless you've won in an official tournament you can't brag. Winning in a South American tournament would be something to boast about .

    True, but after several years of playing, and all your friends having been to tournaments and whatnot, you dont notice it. Anyone can be badass with Maxi, hes a button mashing character (A A A B B A A A A B B B B A A A A A A B B B B B <-then repeat for endless combo)

I may seriously have to pick them up and watch, I used to really love catching the odd episode now and then.

I mean sure, they're slightly right. The technical gap has gotten smaller. (leading to such amazing things as me being able to do combos) But all it was was a barrier that kept people out of the scene. They're trying to stunt its growth. And fuck, now that we have some decent variation, we the rest of the scene catches shit from those bastards who play Street Fighter. And only street fighter. The game that generally has at least 4 characters per game that are minor variations off the same damn thing. And it's not a bad game, it's just so...static.

    /super-minor rant over

    An official Tournament at what?

    SSFIV?
    SFIV?
    SCIII?
    SCIV?
    MvC2?
    MvC3?

I mean, there are so many tournament fighting games, that it's hard to say who exactly can brag.

People like Justin Wong are awesome at MvC3, AND SSFIV, but there are people like Daigo that will destroy Justin at street fighter, but have never played MvC at a high level before.

He had never played SC before in his life, he just got up in my face, and because he was mashing buttons, he would block my throws every time...
